Madame Marie Curie

“She conjures numbers in the night; they bow and dance before their queen, who labours hard by candle-light at work the world has not yet seen”. These words written by English poet Brian Bilston, celebrate the contributions of a woman whose visionary insights helped shape the world as we know it.

Ada Lovelace, the Enchantress of Numbers, saw the world in ways that opened a door into a future she could only imagine. She possessed the ability to look beyond the conventional science of her day, and in doing so offers us a roadmap to envision a future of our own making.

This Woman Has My Heart

S he was a woman ahead of her time and way ahead of the men in her time. She possessed the ability to bring the arts and sciences together in a way that allowed her to see the poetic beauty in a machine made of brass, copper, and steam. She saw the practical application as well as the potential of the Analytical engine and in doing so shown a light into the future that has been reflected billions of times over.

She remains an inspiration to women around the world and her legacy shines a spotlight on the important roles and contributions of women in all fields of Science, Technology Engineering and Math.

Smart, curios imaginative and unafraid to see beyond her time and envision the possibilities of the future. Ada Lovelace was a true visionary.

For me personally, Ada is a harbinger of hope, change, and the limitless possibilities we can all harness when dreaming of, imagining, and working toward our personal vision of the future.

She shows us you don’t have to know what the future holds, to create it.

She is the Bright Lighter who reminds me when we embrace our inner visionary, we have the power to create the future, the life, and the world we want to live in.
